Ecommerce bookkeeping
Ecommerce bookkeeping across every channel you sell on
Weekly bookkeeping for US ecommerce sellers on Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop and Shopify. Every marketplace payout is split into sales, fees, refunds and tax, posted to QuickBooks Online and reconciled to your bank, with profit shown by channel.
What does an ecommerce bookkeeper do?
An ecommerce bookkeeper turns marketplace and payment payouts into accurate books. That means recording gross sales and every fee, refund, commission and reserve separately, keeping marketplace-collected sales tax out of revenue, tracking cost of goods sold, and reconciling each payout to the bank. The result is a profit and loss you can trust, by channel and by brand.
The problem
Why the numbers never seem to match
Every channel pays differently
Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Shopify and Stripe each report and pay on their own schedule and format.
Software alone isn't bookkeeping
Connectors such as A2X move data, but someone still has to map accounts, review exceptions and reconcile.
Behind on the books
Months of unposted payouts make tax time stressful and leave you guessing about profit.
Process
How we do it, every week
- 01
Connect your channels
We gather settlement and payout reports from each marketplace, Shopify and Stripe.
- 02
Post every payout
Sales receipts go to your inventory system and fees, commissions and reserves post to QuickBooks Online.
- 03
Reconcile
Each payout ties to the bank deposit, and anything that doesn't is investigated and flagged.
- 04
Report
A monthly profit and loss by channel, plus a weekly sales dashboard if you want one.

FAQ
Questions sellers ask us
Do I need an ecommerce bookkeeper or just A2X?+
A2X and Link My Books summarize payouts, but they still need set-up, account mapping, review and bank reconciliation. If you want that done for you, a bookkeeper who understands marketplace reports does the whole job.
Is QuickBooks or Xero better for an Amazon seller?+
Both work. Most US sellers and their CPAs use QuickBooks Online, which is what we recommend in the US, but we support Xero too.
How do I see profit per channel?+
Post each marketplace to its own income and fee accounts or classes, and track cost of goods sold by channel. Our monthly report shows each channel's margin side by side.
I'm behind on my bookkeeping. Where do I start?+
Send us your marketplace logins or reports and bank statements for the missing months. We post them in order, reconcile each month, and give you a clean starting point.
Do you work with businesses outside the US?+
Our focus is US sellers, but we also work with brands in Canada, the UK and Australia.
What does it cost?+
It depends on the number of channels, brands and payouts. After a short call you get a written scope and a fixed monthly price.
